Secret has the personality of an old
friend. She is fun and light hearted. She loves a crowd
and adjusts to new situations with grace and ease. She has a
natural born curiosity and LOVES attention. Her dam is a
fine bay mare with impeccable breeding. Her sire has
some great old bloodlines. She looks a lot like him. She
is sorrel with a flaxen mane and tail and has a light sprinkle of
roan beginning
to show throughout her coat.
As you can see in her papers below, she
is exceptionally bred. Her conformation is excellent. She
is five gaited and can trot as well as pace.
Secret will probably mature at
around
14.1 or 14.2H.
I am 5'4" and she is the perfect
height for me. Even
though she isn't a tall filly, she is STOCKY and strong. She is
the bravest of them all. She is always the first to come when I
call them in for supper. She will go into training the spring of
2002 and be my trail buddy for the next 30 years or so. :-)
Secret has completed 30 days of training (as of the end of July,
02) with Dallas Schmidt of Cooperstown, ND. His specialty lies in the
area's of Reining/Cutting QH's. He is a natural horsemanship trainer
with a sound reputation of good, honest horsemanship.
Secret is now my trail buddy. We haven't hit the trail yet as we are
working on getting to know and understand each other's language. She
is only three and we aren't in a hurry. Secret turns out to have a
WONDERFUL, inherited running walk. Dallas says, "When she hits that
running walk, she is smooooth as glass." "She didn't refuse anything
asked of her."
BAREFOOT, no special anything of any kind. Just good old fashioned
genetics. Walking Horses that don't require any "special" training,
trainer or riding skill level to gait beautifully, smoothly and
correctly. Now this, is what I am talking about! :-)
